Moving a message to a different folder | Top

There are four default folders: All, Inbox, Outbox, and Draft. To add a folder, see Creating a folder.

  1. From the Mail screen, click the folder that contains the message that you want to move. The Mail Messages screen appears.
  2. Select each message you want to move.
  3. From the Move to drop-down list, select the folder to which you want to move the messages and click Go. A confirmation message appears. Tip: To automatically scroll to the bottom of the screen to use the Move to drop-down list, click Message options.
  4. Click OK. The messages are moved.

Deleting a message | Top

  1. From the Mail screen, click the folder that contains the message you want to delete. The Mail Messages screen appears.
  2. Select each message you want to delete:
    • To select individual messages, select the check box next to each message.
    • To select all visible messages, in the folder header row next to Subject, select the check box.
  3. Click Delete. A warning message appears. Tip: To automatically scroll to the bottom of the screen to click Delete, click Message options.
  4. Click OK. The messages are deleted.

Deleting all messages in a folder | Top

  1. From the Mail screen, select the folder from which you want to delete all messages.
  2. Under Options: Messages, click Delete messages. A warning message appears. Warning: All messages in this folder will be deleted.
  3. Click OK. All messages in the folder are deleted.

Deleting all messages in all folders | Top

You can delete all messages in all folders from your course.

  1. From the Mail screen, under Options: Messages, click Delete all messages. A warning message appears. Warning: All your personal mail messages will be deleted.
  2. Click OK. All messages in all folders are deleted.

Forwarding messages to an external email account | Top

As you receive CE mail messages, they can be forwarded to an external email account.

Note: Depending on administrator settings, this feature may not be available to you.

  1. From the Mail screen, click Message Settings. The Message Settings screen appears.
  2. Next to Mail Forwarding, select Forward my mail to and enter the email address that you want your messages forwarded to, in the text box.
  3. Click Update. All CE mail messages will now be forwarded, as you receive them, to this external email address.

Setting the number of threads to display per page | Top

  1. From the Mail screen, click Message Settings. The Message Settings screen appears.
  2. Next to Threads per page, make your selection:
    • To specify a certain number of threads per page, select Display ____ threads per page and enter a number in the text box.
    • To display all messages on the same page, select Display all threads at once.
  3. Click Update. The new thread settings are activated.
  4. To return to the Mail screen, click Back.

Setting length of subject in message listing | Top

  1. From the Mail screen, click Message Settings. The Message Settings screen appears.
  2. Next to Length of subject, make your selection:
    • To specify a limit to the number of characters displayed, select the first option, Display first ____ characters of subject and enter a number in the text box.
    • To display the entire subject, select Display whole subject.
  3. Click Update. The new subject settings are activated.
  4. To return to the Mail screen, click Back.
